Powerful upgrades and improvements over older models make this the new must-have if you want the latest in headlamp tech for your runs and activities.
TRIPLE OUTPUT HEADLAMP - Brighter, smaller, and longer running! Upgraded unibody optical lens system, you can switch freely between white LED with three brightness settings, to a high CRI LED for even flood illumination.
Ideal for close-up tasks and reading. Lastly, switch to the red LED and protect your night vision or use it as a long lasting signal light.
90 MIN USB-C FAST CHARGING - Built-in high capacity rechargeable battery gets you 4 hours runtime on high and 8 hours on 200 lumens. An integrated USB-C port fast charges to full in only 2 hours. A power indicator tells you when it's time to charge while lockout mode prevents accidental activation.
RUGGED AND TOUGH - IP66 weatherproofing with a bold new aerodynamic unibody design that efficiently dissipates heat and looks stylish to boot. The newly designed headband is skin-friendly and has large bright reflective strips to guarantee visibility and protection.
Smaller than older lights, the lightweight NU30 takes the center stage as Nitecore's new all-rounder headlamp for night running, outdoor adventures, or camping.
Smaller, brighter, more efficient, easier to use and longer running.
Since the release of the NU series headlamps, Nitecore has been gathering over 3 years of feedback, learning from users on the ground on how to improve on them.
The biggest improvement would be the new optical system that is far more efficient than the older reflector design. It shapes the secondary CRI and red beams even better.
2nd biggest change, the newly shaped dual button controls help you easily control the light without looking as the power and mode buttons now feel completely different.
The last big change is the new 4 stage power indicator that immediately shows you how much power is left.
A welcome addition compared to the hard-to-understand blinking models of the older versions.
If you've been looking for the latest and greatest headlamp for recreational / industrial use and still want it lightweight, this is your best match.

Quality:Awesome Performance:The battery life is phenomenal....izzit kryptonian substance which superman using?lol Suitability:From NU30 upgraded to NU32 recomm by Ming Jie & finally to NU33.Suitable for my weekend fishing & last for good long 6 years usage on NU32.Worth every penny...tq Nitecore
Previously I used a torch for light to help me clean my kitchen ventilation fans. With this new headset I clean them up in record time due to the bright light shone on d fan handfree.
Great tool to have.
Replacing all my AA and AAA gadgets with USB C for easy of charging. This is as good as any other headlamp I’ve had. Updating the review as I will probably order two more. Holds a good charge as advertised.
I've got quite a few Nitecore headlamps, but i think the NU33 is by far the best headlamp among all. It's excellent for my work and the mode button is really a great improvement over previous models. Well done Nitecore 👍
Center light, two auxiliary lights (one white one red, beacon mode, a little over 3oz, best battery life of any of the 8 or so headlamps (two of which are military issue) which I own.The good:- unibody design with three enclosed led lights- center light on bright mode is a blinding 700 lumens. Not sure if it burns ant 700 lumens for 4 hours (I have my doubts) since it is for me overly bright, so it gets kicked down pretty quickly. The main light does have three brightness settings.Equipped with an upgraded unibody - easy to switch between the primary white LED, a high auxiliary LED for even floodlight and a red auxiliary LED. Red is awesome for preserving night vision.- built in rechargeable battery- low setting on auxiliary for me has burned more than 80 hours- USB-C port is awesome for a fast charge the NU33 fast charge- 4 side led indicators for charge left at 25 percent increments- headband is wide enough and comfortable, and a nice touch of large bright reflective for safetyThe bad:- rated IP66 water resistant. I would like a little more in the event of extreme weather or outdoor activitiesA lot of features and quality for under $50. Impressive enough and has earned my trust to give to my daughter for a guide job in Alaska. There are better lamps for a lot more cost, but the NU33 is a great blend of affordable features. I recommend this lamp for this price point range.
I've owned several budget headlamps before, so I thought I knew what I was getting into with this Nitecore NU33. Turns out, it's quite a bit nicer than the inexpensive sets I've used before!First of all, having an integrated battery is a big win over traditional AA or AAA batteries. The battery life is phenomenal, and it's really convenient to just charge it up via USB-C rather than have to go looking for batteries. You can also see the battery level through a set of 4 tiny LED lights on the side of the headlamp. All my electronic camping gear charges by USB-C now, so I already have those cables ready to go for mobile charging. There's a handy chart included in the Quick Start guide that shows the expected battery life for each lighting mode. I tested the Turbo mode, and it did indeed fade over time and ultimately die out around 4 hours. But 700 lumens is ridiculous for most tasks. At the Mid-level (60 lumen) mode, it's projected to last for about 40 hours, which is plenty for a camping trip.As a family camper, my favorite feature is actually the High CRI / Low lumen light. It's perfect for reading before bed! That's an awesome feature I've never seen on another headlamp.Operating the light is very simple too. There's a big button for turning on/off the main light and cycling through the different brightness levels. There's a smaller button for switching over to the red light and the reading light. There are a variety of other button combinations you can use to quickly switch modes and to lock the power button, which you can read about in the Quick Start guide. But for everyday use, I found the buttons really intuitive and easy to use without looking. The price is right for everything that's included in this powerful little headlamp. My kids will be getting a hand-me-down headlamp and I'll be keeping this one with my backpacking gear!
Hands down the best headlamp I have ever owned! I use it every day walking the dogs at night and use the red light 95% of the time so it lasts about a month and a half between charges. Handy for working on a car, plumbing, DIY stuff and when I go camping. It has plenty of modes and brightness though honestly I don’t need the brightest setting or high beams very often. Not going through a dozen AAA batteries every year makes this a great value. Also has a battery life indicator.
This is actually the second Nitecore NU33 I’ve purchased — my son liked mine so much he kept borrowing it, so I had to get him his own! The NU33 is lightweight, super bright, and the battery lasts a long time between charges. I love how easy it is to recharge via USB, and the multiple brightness settings are perfect for everything from camping and hiking to working around the house at night. One thing I especially appreciate about this newer version is the built-in diffuser — it really softens the light when you don’t need the full beam and makes it much more versatile. Nitecore clearly pays attention to real-world use, and this upgrade was a smart move.Highly recommend this headlamp to anyone looking for reliability, comfort, and great value.
This thing is great. Its exactly what I was looking for. It's a well-built headlamp with USBC recharging. I use headlamps frequently in some pretty rough environments and this thing is everything that you would need. This thing so much better than all the other ones I just ordered a second one.
This light took a while for me to get used to and at first I didn't like it. But it's features have caused it to become my favorite light. I do wish it did not have reflective material in the headband. The reflective material is great for bicyclists and whatnot. But I'm out in the woods and when I don't have the headlight on, I don't like it anyone who shines a light in my direction gets a bright reflection off the headband
I use this for running early in the morning. I find the medium setting to be perfect for daily running. The bright setting is super bright and can illuminate a pretty good distance. In use on medium for a little over 1 hour the batter is not drained very much. In use on high for 1 hour it is drained about 1/3. It seems to charge in about 30-45 minutes. Very comfortable and light weight. Perfect early morning running headlamp.
I used this for a month on the Appalachian trail. It worked great and the battery lasted a long time. I night hiked with it once and it was more than sufficient. I would buy it again!
I keep this light charged and in the undercarriage bag of Sparky in case I get caught out after dark or if I decide I'd like to stay out a little later. My wife was so envious she stole mine so I bought another. Love that they're rechargeable.
I have not found a better light. If you are a hiker, camper, mechanic, rancher or farmer these are the cats meow. I really like the red light for night operations that don't blind the other members of your group. I highly recommend these headlights.
I've been very pleased with this light. The quality of construction is solid and the various modes and brightness levels allow you to use it for a wide variety of purposes. It's relatively small for what it can do and it holds a charge really well.
I am very impressed with this headlamp. That's really all that needs to be said. It does everything right, and seems to be of high quality.*Be sure to read the instructions (available as a download on Nitecore's website, a Nitecore video here, or also included in a tiny booklet in the box) if you want to get the full use of it, as some of the reviewers, including videos, apparently did not, and are giving incorrect information and details about the headlamp and how to operate it.
All the other headlights are made of cheap plastic that feel fragile, this thing is solid as a rock and has super high-quality feel to it. I use this when I’m walking my dog and have my hands full, the red light makes it super great for not affecting night vision and the controls are really nice and straightforward.
I left it on the lowest setting in my truck for 6 days and when I came back it had 20% battery left. This things battery must have been crafted by Tony Stark.
I used to have one with the batteries I had replaced daily but I just want it's excellent it tells you when the batter is getting low very bright and rechargeable
I usuallyhave 5 or 6 headlamps scattered around the house and boat. Normal AAA headlamps start to dim after about 4 hours. This one will go for a solid 8 hours and still have reserves.
I've been using this light for a while. Overall I think it is great:(1.1) I extremely like that when you turn it on, by default the red light come on, and then you can switch to the white one. It is very important for the night vision, especially when other people around (like on a boat at night).(1.2) I like the wide range of angle you can point the light to.(1.3) I like the variety of white light brightness (but it becomes hot on the brightest setting, and watch the battery)(1.4) I like the charge indicator(2.1) I wish there were several levels of brightness for red light. On a boat it is not bright enough.(2.2) The band on my head tends to become loose, so I need to tighten it from time to time.(2.3) May take long time to fully (up to the 4th mark) charge.
So far this headlamp is the best one I’ve purchased to date. Same price as some 400 lumen headlamps I’ve purchased in the past, this one is significantly brighter at 700 lumen. Plus it has all the features necessary for night hikes. I use it every morning for 5am hikes with my dog and it has been running perfectly. It doesn’t dim after a while like other lamps, and I like the thick strap that makes it feel secure. Adjusting it is simple, it slides easily even with gloves on but doesn’t loosen as you move.
Nitrcore products may seem a bit more pricey then other options but the quality can't be beat and I love that it's a made in the USA product. This baby is bright and works great for my early morning walks in the darkness before sunrise.
Super bright with 2 white and 1 red. Band is easily adjusted, stays in place and is actually quite comfortable. Bat life is great on low, medium and red settings and still decent on high. Does have some weight to it but the wide band makes it not noticeable when worn snug. Buttons are large and easy to use also. Overall its definitely worth the price and really puts out some light! Recommended.
