For runners, hikers and campers: a 74-gram headlamp with three colour temperatures and CRI up to 97, so the trail and your gear read true at night, not under one harsh cool beam.
The first headlamp with three colour temperatures and three CRI options.
Cool, neutral or warm light up to CRI 97, all in a 74-gram headlamp that runs on a USB-C pack or AAAs.
Three colour temperatures: 6500K cool, 4500K neutral, 3000K warm
Three CRI options up to CRI 97 for true-to-life colour
800-lumen turbo reaching 168 metres from twin MCT UHE LEDs
74g complete, with a reflective sweat-channelling headband
HLB1500 USB-C rechargeable pack, or 3 AAA batteries as backup
Up to 14.5 hours of runtime, plus a red light for night vision
Four-way clip for cap brim, pack strap or waist pack
IP66 weather resistant, with a glow-in-the-dark battery door
Match your light to the moment, and see true colour.
Three colour temperatures. 6500K cool cuts through distance and fast terrain, 4500K neutral suits general use, and 3000K warm reads through fog and rain and is kind on the eyes around camp.
Three CRI options up to CRI 97. A high colour-rendering beam shows the world the way daylight does, so map detail, trail markers, a fish on the line, a wound or a wiring colour all read correctly. Most headlamps sit near CRI 70 and wash colour out.
800 lumens and 168 metres, hands-free.
A TrueVision+ dual-lens system blends a wide near-field flood with a focused spot, so you light the ground at your feet and the terrain ahead at the same time. Turbo pushes 800 lumens out to 168 metres for spotting a marker, a ridge line or a far bank.
Four working levels sit below turbo, from a 100-lumen low that runs 14.5 hours to a 500-lumen high, so the beam fits a quiet campsite or a fast night descent.
74 grams. You forget you are wearing it.
At 74g complete, including the bracket, headband and battery, the UT27 MCT sits light and bounce-free on a long effort. The breathable headband channels sweat away and carries reflective elements so you stay visible to others on the road or trail.
Light enough that it stays on your head from dusk to dawn without the front-heavy nod that tires you out on a heavier lamp.
WHY THE UT27 MCT OVER AN ORDINARY HEADLAMP
Colour you can trust
CRI up to 97 renders true colour, where a typical CRI 70 headlamp flattens it. Map detail, gear, skin and wildlife all read correctly.
Three lights in one
Switch between cool, neutral and warm for the conditions, instead of living with one harsh tint that suits half your night.
Recharge or refill
The USB-C HLB1500 pack covers everyday use, and 3 AAA batteries get you home when you are days from a charger.
Wear it anywhere
The four-way clip moves it from the headband to a cap brim, a pack strap or a waist pack, and a stuff sack turns it into a camp lantern.
Off the head when you need it elsewhere.
The included multipurpose clip mounts the UT27 MCT four ways: on a cap brim for a lower angle, on a backpack strap, on a waist pack, or back on the headband. The beam goes where you are working, not just where your head points.
A red light, constant or flashing, preserves night vision around camp and keeps you from waking a tent-mate or spooking wildlife. The glow-in-the-dark battery door helps you find and swap the cell in the dark.
Through the night, on a pack you recharge.
The included HLB1500 1,500mAh battery pack charges over USB-C and runs up to 14.5 hours at 100 lumens, enough for an all-night effort or several evenings out.
When you are far from a socket, drop in 3 AAA batteries instead and keep going. The pack swaps in seconds, so a spare gives you a second full night.
FOR EVERY KIND OF NIGHT OUTDOORS
Trail Running
74g and bounce-free, cool light for speed on fast sections, warm light to read technical ground.
Hiking & Camping
AAA backup for multi-day trips, a warm beam and the lantern stuff sack for a calm camp, red mode in the tent.
Fishing & Wildlife
CRI 97 warm light shows true colour at the water or the hide, and red mode keeps your night vision and stays low-key.
Work & Repair
Hands-free high-CRI light on the cap or headband so wiring colours, finishes and fine detail read correctly.

*Power options
The HLB1500 pack charges over USB-C and delivers full performance. AAA support is a backup for when you cannot recharge; use alkaline AAA, not Ni-MH.
CRI measures how truly a light shows colour, from 0 to 100. Most headlamps sit near 70 and make colours look washed out. The UT27 MCT reaches CRI 97 in its warm mode, so map detail, gear, skin tones and wiring read the way they do in daylight.
Can I run it on normal AAA batteries?
Yes, on 3 alkaline AAA as a backup for when you cannot recharge the HLB1500 pack. Rechargeable Ni-MH AAA are not supported, so use alkaline AAA or the included USB-C pack for full performance.
Can it be used as a lantern or worn off the headband?
Yes. The included diffusing stuff sack turns the headlamp into a soft camp lantern, and the four-way clip mounts it on a cap brim, a backpack strap or a waist pack instead of the headband.

Definitely will be my top gadget for the next trail run.🏃
I’ve tested the UT27 headlamp on my early morning hike in our local trail. I can’t attest to its durability yet but so far, so good — it is very bright! I bought this to replace my old Petzl headlamp and will be bringing it on my hikes overseas in the coming months.
I have a UT27 headlamp and now, also one of the new UT27 MCT headlamps. The UT27 has two colors of light and the UT27 MCT has three light colors. The UT27 MCT I have, also has the new, stronger bracket. See photos.Note that both headlamps are marked the same; UT27. I asked Nitecore about that and they said the newer version, UT27 MCT, is identified on the box it came in. Hmmm. I printed a label and stuck it on the MCT version, so I will know which one is which. Both versions have a turbo mode, if you can double-click either button fast enough. With my arthritic hands, about 1 in 5 tries is the best I can do. Turbo mode light color is only in cool white color.Battery life is okay with the included HLB1500 rechargeable Li-ion battery. When using three AAA Ni-MH rechargeable batteries, only low and medium brightness levels are available. Turbo mode works, although it is not much brighter than the medium brightness level.
I got the UT27 Pro for my early morning and trail runs. Simply love it. Bright enough for me to see the path ahead and also to warn other road users. Light in weight. The band is very light and secured. The band can keep the lamp secured on my head with no bounce. Highly recommended.
The product itself is cool and very functional! Just that the package lack 1 battery pack, which was suppose to be 2. I only noticed when I was preparing to get the second battery pack. Which I think, it would be better.
Before purchase service was really awesome. They responded to my questions promptly and gave me advice for me to make my decision on what headlamp to buy. Headlamp came as shown looking forward to using it!
amazing lightweight for trail running. sufficient brightness (800lm) with both white and yellow beam in diff mode upon selection. will definitely purchase again in future.
I own several headlamps and this is definitely one of my favorite lamps for many different applications. I've used this for a few weeks now as a safety light for trick or treating, hunting in cold temperatures, and working on my truck at night.
This came with two batteries that are rechargable via usb-c and have a red/green indicator when the battery is fully charged. If you lose your battery packs you can use three AAA batteries. I've charged this once two weeks ago and I have used this for about 20 total hours in temperatures ranging from 42-78 degrees Farenheit and have not charged it since. Based off the manufacturer's rating you're supposed to get 40 hours out of a pack which is pretty nice, especially for multi day hunts, camping or hiking sessions.
There's a warm, cool, and red light setting with multiple levels of intensity for the white light. I didn't find myself needing the light shining at its brightest setting but having the max setting was nice when it was pitch black outside heading to a duck blind.
I have used this light in light rain and it has held up pretty well. I'll update with any changes during this duck season. I will probably make this my main hunting headlamp since it is pretty bright and has a red light mode.
Overall, I have no complains with this headlamp. It's bright, durable, has been tossed in the mud and dropped in the water, has a few different modes, and came with 2 batteries. Highly recommend this light.
You can never have enough of these style headlamps. Over the years, I have had these that used batteries. Let me tell you, it is so nice that this is rechargeable. I use this almost daily. The band is easily adjustable to fit my head without being too tight. The light itself is lightweight and doesn’t feel heavy or uncomfortable while wearing. The charge lasts for a long time, but I always keep a power bank with me because I don’t want to be without my light if I do need it and run low on charge. Good bright light.
So I use this for work.
I hate the band and I am glad there are the hooks. It did keep the band in place.
I usually just use the low beam on and off all day.
And it has lasted for over a week without having to change the battery. I figured the battery would drain pretty fast, but it’s still lighting up.
I also like the addition battery that comes with it.
To change out when needed.
I like nitecore and have used them for years.
Light weight. 👍👍👍

UT27 Headlamp (bundled with BR35)
This is a great headlamp, whether for night running (which I don’t), or night trail walking (which I sometimes do). I find the bundled headband a bit uncomfortable on bare head, but very nice when wrapped around a ball cap or a boonie hat. But there is another use for this headlamp - for illuminating scale models during airbrush spraying. I used a headband from the NU05 kit and it feels nice and comfortable while airbrushing. Some cutting is required, and the original headband can still be used for night walks (running is not recommended after cutting, unless you sew or secure the cut end from slipping). The attached picture is lighted up with the NU05, which has donated its headband to the cause. I could have bought a spare headband, but since the NU05 only lives on a MOLLE system, everything works out.
This is a best bag for your buck hand lamp. 2 rechargeable batteries, and the ability to use triple a's as well make it super versatile. The warm and white light makes it even more so.
I was tired of "under $25" budget headlamps the past 12 years that had iffy/poor durability, inflated brightness claims, and poor battery life. Saw this Nitecore UT27 Pro in a recent YouTube reviews, where it seemed to do well.I was NOT disappointed. Extremely bright (brightest I've experienced yet), using it's amber setting, I was able to SEE objects detailed and defined at over 100ft. I could see even further with its "white-light" setting, though because of the color it was mostly hard shadows with less detail. At over $60, it better work at this perceived level of performance, and pricing. I have yet to experience any durability issues that others have seen but, I'm just using it for early morning (oh dark thirty) and nighttime neighborhood walks with my dog. I may change my review IF, there's any concerning issues cropping up but, so far, os good.
The light is great. Bright, easy battery changes, and light weight. I wish the locking mechanism was a little more robust but it holds the light in place no problem.
Haven’t had this headlamp for a long time yet but after 15-20 hours of actual use, I’m satisfied so far. The lamp is bright so I’m going to say that the 800 lumens claimed is likely accurate; unlike some of the competitors ridiculous claims of light output of their own lamps. These things are pricey but if they hold up and the price reflects the quality of the batteries supplied, then they a worth the money
All parts of items received in good condition. Works as stated. Thanks for the prompt replies in WhatsApp. Great professional service and fast delivery!
ITS IS A GOOD HEAD LIGHT. BOUGHT IT AFTER WATCHING REVIEWS ONLINE. THE QUALITY IS GOOD, BUT NOT THE BEST I'VE PURCHASED. THE ONLY THING MISSING IS A MOONLIGHT MODE IN THE WHITE/YELLOW LIGHT AND RED LIGHT MODE.
This thing is great. Love the rechargeable battery. I use this all the time for work. My only complaint is the plastic on the back is a bit thin and seems like it may end up breaking at some point. I just make sure to handle that part gently
Surprisingly bright, lightweight. Really like the yellow light settings, easier on the eyes at night, Batteries have usb charge ports, so can be charged outside of the headlamp. Honestly cant belive how bright this is for the cost.
This is a great, relatively simple to use light with good battery life. The fact they provide an extra battery is icing on the cake. I am kind of a light junkie and will likely buy another. Highly recommend.
Really like my headlamp. The battery system is a strong point. I like the light selection. Great functionality. Brighten up your day and get one, you will love it!
Very light and comes with a bag for storage. It is very bright and the battery lasts long. The quality of the lamp is solid and the headband grips well around the head. Daylight, yellow light, and red light are bright and easy to switch. Not sure about waterproof because I haven't used it in the rain.
I really like the product.
Tried it out during my Security Patrol and it illuminated my path whilst keeping my hands free.
It's lightweight compare to my past heavy model.
