Does it come with batteries, or do I need the rechargeable pack?

Three AAA batteries are included, so it works out of the box. The HLB1500 1500mAh rechargeable pack is an optional upgrade that adds USB-C charging and longer runtimes, and it is sold separately.

How do I switch between white and the RGB colours?

The mode button cycles the light source, so a press moves you from the white beam to red, green and blue. The power button then sets brightness and turns it on or off.

Bought the Nitecore HA13 just in time for my Taiwan Nanhu trip ! My current headlamp is USB - rechargeable, but I was told there won’t be any charging stations available at the mountain hut. So, a headlamp powered by disposable AAA batteries seemed like a much more practical choice for this trip. The HA13 comes with multiple light sources — White, Red, Green & Blue — giving me plenty of options depending on the situation. It also has more than enough lumens ( 350 ) for hiking in the dark and navigating the trails safely ! Overall, really happy with the purchase and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, versatile headlamp for hiking, trekking, camping, or other outdoor adventures !
