The 2L size is perfect for smaller items I want to keep protected, like cords, camera accessories, beauty products, or small electronics. I love that it is waterproof but still packs flat, so it does not add unnecessary bulk to my bag. This is one of those pieces that may seem small, but once you have it, you understand why it is useful. I can definitely see myself reaching for it often.
Love this dry bag, I take 2 with me everytime I travel. Great to pack my puffy jacket, dirty laundry or my wet swim gear. I also use it as my go to beach bag. The side handle is really convenient.
Premium product that does its job. Bought this for a recent trip to an island during which I was going to be taking a few snorkel excursions by boat. This bag worked beautifully - it kept everything inside dry even as it was getting absolutely soaked. The material feels durable and premium and secure, and is also incredibly light - it was easy to roll up when it was empty and took up very little space in a backpack. Basically, your ideal dry bag of this type.
One thing I'll mention is that the bag did seem to pick up some light stains when I handled it just after applying sunscreen, some streaks in various areas, and those stains did not end up coming out with the same sort of light-detergent-and-brushing treatment that usually gets such stains out of other nylon bags I own. It's not a big deal at all - the stains are not super noticeable, and, well, it's a dry bag, it's not something where I want it looking pristine for style purposes. As such, it's still a five-star product for me. Just something to be aware of.
Great bag. Took both bags on a canoe trip through the Everglades, everything in them stayed dry. I like that the material is pretty light weight. Did not fully submerge the bags but they were definitely getting splashed.
Does everything it's supposed to. The 8L capacity is enough for a full change of clothes (long sleeve shirt, pants, underwear, socks) or two, depending on your size and how bulky your clothing is. I folded the top 3 times, the minimum suggested, clipped the ends together, and threw it in the shower for a half hour; even turning it on it's side to let the folds catch water. The shirt got a couple droplets on it only after I opened the bag. Everything else was perfectly dry. While it's probably not recommended, the side carry handle, the top roll, and the top D-ring were all capable of carrying 15+ pounds.
Best dry bags ever. These dry bags are heads and tails above anything else I've seen on the market. They look and feel like something Arcteryx would make.
I have used other dry bags through the years, but they are all bulky and hard to use. The Flatpak is a perfect fit, flexible and the addition of a handle and small window are a great addition.
Lightweight. This bag is lightweight and pliable. Holds my food and cook set in my backpack for 2-3 days no problem. Love the flat bottom feature and waterproofing so far has been great.
Love this one and the 2L. Reviewing the 8L in addition to my review for the 2L. These bags are excellent and the details are really dialed. Light, sturdy, waterproof, nice to look at. The little vertical window is more useful than I expected since I have multiples. You can pretty much always tell what is in there (shirts vs. jacket vs. socks, etc.).
