Nitecore's flagship outdoor power bank. Built for trekking, photography, drone work, and travel days where wall outlets aren't an option.

Trekking routes that go past the last hut. Photography days that stretch from blue hour to blue hour. Stream canyons, drone runs, long-haul flights. The CARBO 20 is engineered for outdoor and travel use first, then specced to keep up with the gear professionals actually carry: USB-C laptops, mirrorless cameras, drones, phones.
What you get for the form factor:
67.5Wh of usable energy out of the 20,000mAh cell capacity. The active balancing BMS keeps individual cells in sync through discharge so less energy is lost to cell mismatch.
Many power banks output fast but recharge slowly. Plug a USB-C laptop charger into IN/OUT1 and the CARBO 20 refills at full input rate, not an 18W trickle.
Most power banks run a low-voltage cell stack and step output up. The CARBO 20 uses an 18V high-voltage platform, which lowers current at the same wattage and reduces conversion losses and heat under high-power output.
UN38.3 compliant for cabin baggage on commercial flights worldwide. Total energy sits well under the 100Wh airline limit, with multiple international certifications and global insurance coverage.

UNIBODY CARBON FIBRE SHELL - The shell weighs just 22.3 grams, roughly 67% lighter than a plastic shell of similar strength. The fibre structure provides the rigidity to absorb impacts while keeping the cell area protected.
MAGNESIUM ALLOY HONEYCOMB HEAT SINKS - The dual heat sinks weigh 10.94 grams together, roughly 38% lighter than aluminium heat sinks of similar volume. Magnesium dissipates heat efficiently while keeping overall weight down.
Combined energy density works out to 242.5mWh per gram, which is high for a power bank in this capacity tier and form factor.

18V HIGH-VOLTAGE PLATFORM - The internal platform runs at 18V rather than the 5V or 12V used in most power banks. Higher voltage means lower current at the same wattage, which reduces conversion losses and heat generation during high-power output.
ACTIVE BALANCING BMS - The battery management system keeps individual cells in sync through discharge. Less energy is lost to cell mismatch, which means more of the stored capacity reaches your devices.
SUSTAINED FULL OUTPUT FOR OVER 55 MINUTES - The honeycomb heat sinks pull heat away from the cells, with an embedded MCU and dual NTC thermistors tracking temperature in real time. Full output runs for over 55 minutes at 26°C ambient, then steps down to 20W until the battery depletes.
What this means in practice: charging a USB-C laptop at full speed for the entire battery cycle of one ThinkPad, or topping up multiple cameras and drones during a long shoot, with the power bank holding its full output throughout.

INTELLIGENT DISPLAY SCREEN - The front-mounted screen shows battery percentage and charging status in real time. Tap to wake it; the screen turns off automatically to conserve power. Plan a multi-day trip around 73% remaining instead of guessing from indicator dots.
PORT LAYOUT - IN/OUT1 (the orange port) supports both input and output. OUT2 is output-only. Use both together to charge a phone and earbuds simultaneously, with total output shared between the two devices.
PASS-THROUGH CHARGING - Plug a wall charger into IN/OUT1 and your phone into OUT2. The power bank tops itself up while charging your device. One outlet, one cable to the wall, all your gear charged by morning.
FAST CHARGING PROTOCOLS - Power Delivery (PD), Quick Charge 3.0 (QC3.0), and Super Charge Protocol (SCP) cover most modern phones, laptops, tablets, and accessories.

The IPX8 rating is the strongest waterproof grade in consumer electronics. Multiple layers of seal protect the unit from water entry at every junction, including the USB-C ports.
WHAT THIS MEANS IN PRACTICE - Drop it in a stream during a river crossing. Charge a phone in heavy rain. Wash mud off it under the tap. Take it kayaking, paddling, or down into a slot canyon. The unit keeps working through all of it.

The CARBO 20 includes a full suite of safety circuits to protect both the unit and your devices:
UN38.3 CERTIFIED FOR FLIGHT - Approved for cabin baggage on commercial flights worldwide.

NEON ORANGE - High visibility, easy to spot in a packed bag or on the ground at dusk.
ICE BLUE - Cooler tone for a quieter aesthetic.
Both share identical internals. The colour shows in the heat-sink material on the top of the unit.

Will the CARBO 20 charge a MacBook Air or other USB-C laptop?
Yes. The 65W output supports Power Delivery, which covers most USB-C laptops including MacBook Air, MacBook Pro 13", Dell XPS 13, and similar machines. For MacBook Pro 14"/16" or higher-wattage laptops, you'll get charging but slower than the original wall adapter.
Is it allowed in carry-on luggage on commercial flights?
Yes. The 67.5Wh usable energy sits below the 100Wh airline limit common across international carriers, and the unit is UN38.3 certified. Always confirm with your specific airline before flying, as some have stricter local rules.
How long does it deliver full 65W output before slowing down?
Over 55 minutes of continuous 65W output at 26°C (79°F) ambient temperature, then it transitions to 20W output until the battery depletes. Hotter ambient temperatures may shorten this duration.
Can I charge two devices at the same time?
Yes. Plug into both USB-C ports for simultaneous charging. The total 65W output is shared between the two devices, with the unit allocating power based on each device's requirements.
Can I use the power bank while it's recharging from the wall?
Yes. Plug the wall charger into IN/OUT1 (the orange port) and your device into OUT2. The power bank charges itself and your device at the same time, useful for overnight charging from a single wall outlet.
