SCISSORS YOU WILL ACTUALLY USE - The spring-action scissors reset themselves after every cut. Tape, packaging, loose threads and first-aid trims, handled cleanly.
THREE FILES FOR FINE WORK - A diamond-coated file for hard materials, a wood and metal file for shaping, and an edge file for touch-ups. Smooth a chipped fingernail or dress a burred screw head with the same tool.
THE CAMP LIST, COVERED - Saw, awl, can opener and bottle opener. Kindling notches, tarp holes, dinner and the drink after it.
CARRY IT YOUR WAY - The pocket clip keeps the ARC riding at the top of your pocket, and it removes cleanly if you prefer it loose or in a pouch.
WHAT SETS THE ARC APART FROM ORDINARY MULTI-TOOLS
A 25-Year Warranty
Leatherman stands behind the ARC for 25 years. Buy it once in your thirties and it is still covered in your fifties.
Made in Portland, Oregon
Built in Leatherman's own US factory from USA and global parts, the same plant that has made their tools since 1983.
Chosen by the People Who Carry It
The 20-tool set came from what Leatherman fans asked for, favouring the implements you reach for weekly over novelty add-ons.
Locks Like a Dedicated Tool
Every implement except the plier head locks in place under load, so you can lean on a screwdriver or saw with full confidence.
The First MagnaCut Blade in a Multi-Tool
MagnaCut is the steel knife makers moved to because it ends an old trade-off: it holds a working edge longer than traditional stainless steels and still shrugs off rust and stains. The ARC is the first multi-tool to carry it.
The 7.0 cm blade is PVD-coated and opens with a thumb stud in one motion. Humid gear rooms, sea air and sweaty pockets are exactly the conditions it was chosen for.
The frame backs it up: 420 stainless steel with a DLC coating on the black handle scales, chosen for corrosion resistance and long-term wear. It comes in two finishes: the original black DLC and stainless, or the ARC Talos with ultra-durable Cerakote handles.
One Hand, Any Tool, Eyes on the Job
FREE® magnetic architecture holds the handles closed and releases each tool with light thumb pressure, straight from the outside of the frame.
Each tool glides out on its magnets, clicks into place and snaps shut when you are done. Your other hand stays on the ladder, the torch or the part you are holding.
ONE TOOL, FOUR LIVES
Everyday Carry
Parcel tape, SIM trays, loose screws on the office chair. The jobs that find you every week, answered from your pocket.
Home & Workshop
Flat-pack furniture, curtain rails, a stuck valve under the sink. The bit drivers and pliers cover the fixes between proper toolbox sessions.
Outdoors & Camping
Guy lines, gas canisters, fish hooks and firewood. Corrosion-resistant steel that treats a wet weekend as normal service.
Creators in the Field
Tripod plates, rig clamps, cable ends. One tool in the camera bag replaces the pouch of hex keys and drivers.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does the ARC come with a sheath or pouch?
The ARC ships with its pocket clip fitted, and that is how most owners carry it. Leatherman's nylon sheaths and other accessories are sold separately, so add one if you prefer belt carry.
What bits do the drivers take?
The large bit driver ships with a double-ended Phillips #1-2 and 3/16 inch flat bit, and it accepts Leatherman's flat double-ended bits. It is fully compatible with the Leatherman Bit Kit, sold separately, which adds the common Torx, hex and Phillips sizes.
What happens when the wire cutters wear out?
Both the regular and hard-wire cutters are replaceable inserts rather than a machined part of the plier head. When years of fencing wire and cable ties finally dull them, replacement inserts are available separately and swap in, keeping the tool in service for the long haul.

Customer Reviews
Overall rating: 5.0 / 5 from 61 reviews.
Its Like a wave with steroids, except for the lack of ruller, every detail is what I was waiting in a Multitool, the premium blade, the file improvemet (the metal saw in previous models wasnt properly machined), the adition ofthe awl and a bigger scissors make an excellent tool for every day.
Good tool but highly overpriced. Paying for name. Good craftsmanship but highly priced. Doesn’t move as smoothly as I would like functionality wise but very sturdy.
I own several Leatherman tools including the REV. the Wave and the Wingman. I do home improvements, remodeling and handyman work for a living and sometimes they just didn't have the right tool I needed in a pinch. So I finally decided to buy the ARC for $250. It looked as if it has all of the tools I need in a pinch, instead of running out to the van for the same tool. I questioned some of the reviews that said poor quality and workmanship as all of the Leatherman tools I own never had poor anything. I was not disappointed when it arrived. Everything was as expected. Pliers lined up as they should, no scratches or poor craftsmanship of any kind. I have owned the Arc for about a week now and used it almost every day for something and it has not failed me yet. Now i do question how long the springs that hold the small and large screw driver bits in place will last but with the warranty Leatherman gives I won't worry about that. All in all this is a great tool.
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) operating in high-stakes environments, my loadout requirements are non-zero failure points and maximum mechanical efficiency. The Leatherman ARC has officially secured its position as my primary utility asset. The integration of MagnaCut steel is a game-changer. The edge retention is superior, and its corrosion resistance is vital for constant hospital-grade sanitization protocols. The "Free" technology enables true one-handed deployment of every tool. In a clinical setting where speed equals safety, being able to access the bit driver or pliers without two-handed "fiddling" is a massive tactical advantage. The bit-kit compatibility and the solid, tactile lock-up provide the "Admin Access" I require for my gear. There is zero structural bloatware here—only high-performance utility. This is not just a multi-tool; it is endgame hardware for anyone who demands absolute reliability in their daily deployment.
This has been the most useful addition to my Leatherman tools. I came from using a Surge, which was amazing but it’s very difficult to use it with one hand. After reading & watching many reviews, doing my research, and remembering. . it’s Leatherman. I decided I needed to give it a try. It was a slight adjustment at first, as most things are, but I got the hang of using it with one hand pretty fast. Every. Single. Thing. . this multitool has to offer is accessible with one hand. The handles glide open with a slight push and snap into place with firm squeeze. There’s a satisfying snap from the strong earth magnets, that make the magic happen. Closing it is just as easy. The craftsmanship, engineering, aesthetics, quality, and the overall utility justifies the investment.
I got this as a Christmas gift along with the bit kit, ratchet and sheath with pockets. They all work very well together and I added a small flashlight to the one side pocket on the sheath. I now bring them almost everywhere. While at work I will keep the Arc/accessories in the sheath in my briefcase/messenger bag. When I am out and not at work I put the Arc in my pants pocket using the pocket clip and the sheath with the accessories in my coat pocket. The knife and saw are very sharp. When using the bit tool, the handle of the Arc isn't as comfortable as a regular screwdriver handle but it isn't bad and it is convenient because I usually have the Arc with me. Everything is well made and works smoothly and it's nice that most of the tools can be opened one handed.
I decided to get this to upgrade for my rebar and the pocket knife I was carrying daily. Love it so far, the. Biggest selling point was the magna cut blade which hasn’t disappointed. The scissors on it are actually pretty great too. The one hand open is awesome. Only two negatives I’ve ran into is the clip got caught on something and was bent and no repairable, but you can purchase a replacement clip. If using the pliers for pulling depending on how your using them for leverage they will try and close. But it’s been worth the money love it.
the arc is by far the gold standard for any multi tool period end of story. Now onto the crunch… please leatherman bring back the crunch , people are selling there old ones on ebay for three, four and five hundred dollars and people are buying them. I believe there is still a good demand for the crunch and leatherman guys will buy them quickly. Make it fairly affordable, maybe try small batch at first or big , whatever, just please bring it back . thanks for making a great product with an amazing warranty
You can feel the quality and attention to detail in every piece of this tool. From the smooth action of the main plier body to the effortless opening of every tool, you can feel the quality in every part of his tool. The knife is razor sharp, and so is the saw. I love that the Philips bit works on #1 and #2 philips heads. That's a little detail that really shines in a pinch. The finish is also impressive. This is an awesome American made product that's well worth the investment. Thanks for helping to keep American manufacturing the best of the best!
This is an amazing tool. I use it every day for simple tasks such as tightening pot and pan handles or cutting tape with the easy-to-access scissors. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable multitool. The MagnaCut blade is extremely sharp and performs very well. I’ve also used the needle-nose pliers to remove rubber grommets from my water bottle for cleaning. The one-hand operation is one of my favorite features because it makes the tool very easy and convenient to use.
For about a year, the $250 price tag gave me pause. But, when the Talos came out, I liked it and decided to go for it. I've had 3 Leathermans but this is "The One"! I carry it daily and reach for it each day for something! I've trimmed stray threads on clothes, installed an overhead fan in my living room, a Ring doorbell, tightened eye glasses screws, opened bottles and boxes. . . . daily I reach for it! I consider it an investment which I'll have and be using for a long, long, long time!
Bought one for myself for Christmas, even with sending it to the custom shop to have some engravings done I received mine well before the stated lee time. I’ve carried it everyday sense (just over a month) and have a reason to use it at least once a day. Wether it’s breaking down my wife’s many Amazon boxes, my Amazon driver visits me more than family, cutting wire, adjusting screws or any manner of tasks I’d have to have a small toolbox in my truck or tractor to take care of. So far I am extremely happy with the purchase and can’t wait to see what trouble I’ll get into with this over the coming years.
So I get the Arc as my first one, as i was debating this or the wave plus. Im very happy I chose the arc although im sure i would have said that about the wave + too. These tools are just amazing and really do come in handy at the moment you need it. I had to help a friend move and i brought it along just incase. Ended up having to disassemble a bed, and luckily the bits i bought with this fit the bed and we were able to finish. Honestly the one handed use is awesome and fun to open. The quality is also amazing. Im extremely happy with my purchase.
An absolutely amazing product as always. Seeing as this is my 3rd leatherman I've obtained its lasting magnacut blade is extremely helpful for my line of work, I work I. T and this single device has cut down tremendously on the tools I need to carry for my line of work and works great in a pinch from opening up laptops to cabling projects this has become a essential tool in carrying out both professional and everyday task, i never go anywhere without it.
I have a lot of Leatherman tools. The one I like most was the Free P4. I lost my current P4. I ordered the ARC as it's replacement since the P4 seemed to be discontinued. I have no regrets. It's definitely a refined version of the Free. It addressed any shortcomings with a really nice bland of improvements related to fasteners. It retains the one handed accessibility which is very important to me for a daily carry Leatherman.
When the wave alpha dropped, I was like, "finally an update to my wave," and it's a fine tool. . . BUT when I got my hands on the arc I can never go back. Being able to one hand everything and access the small tools without opening it up is brilliant. The magnets and locks for opening and locking into the pliers mode are absolutely fantastic and the change in overall shape prevents the classic hand points pinching.
This goes above and beyond the description given. It is one handed open, but they don’t mention how ergonomically it does it. Feels like it should not that it could. The action to open the pliers is so smooth and is by far the nicest part of this tool. Can’t speak highly enough and recommend it to anyone who regularly uses a multi tool.
I did a lot of research on the Leatherman Arc. All of the reviews were positive, so I purchased it. I carry it every day for the last month. I can honestly say that it definitely lives up to the hype! It is very handy to have the tools on the outside of this multi tool. It very well crafted! I am very satisfied with it!! I highly recommend purchasing one!
So picked up the ARC direct from Leatherman. Opened it up and started wearing in my pocket and found out the pocket clip was secured with only one screw. Submitted a ticket but so far had no response. Had to order an entire pocket clip to get the extra screw. Great tool but need to work on QC prior to packaging.
I cannot say enough great things about the ARC! I use it literally every day from small tasks around the house to things that come up that need fixing while I’m out. I do not work in a trades job, yet I use it enough that the higher cost is well-worth it. I could not have bought a better tool!
Everything I expected it to be. Bought it for the knife steel and find carrying it everyday more useful then I ever imagined. Use it everyday in so way. Just a little disappointed when I noticed all the reviews got an included bit kit and sheeth. Mine did not come any just tool only.
The Leatherman ARC is great and super convenient to use. Everything feels solid and well-made, and the one-handed opening makes grabbing tools quick and easy. The blade is sharp, the tools are smooth, and it’s perfect for everyday tasks. Definitely worth it if you want a reliable multitool that just works.
I'm not sure why I waited for so long to get one of these. The arch is fantastic, I carry it every day. It's a bit larger then the knife I used to carry but worth the extra bulk for all the things I can do with it. Was well worth the money already and it's only been a few months.
I have had a Leatherman in my pocket since 1989, going through many models, and this is my favorite yet. - I love being able to use all of the tools without opening it - the pliers latch open and are butter smooth - the closure magnets are slick. - the blade/tool locks are excellent
I work on a ranch in the Texas panhandle and the Leatherman Arc pays rent everyday from cutting baling wire to fixing equipment in the field. My father in-law regularly asks to borrow mine so I think I know what to get him next Christmas. Nobody does it like Leatherman!
I love this thing. The blade is super sharp and holds an edge well. Overall it’s constructed well but what sets this apart from other leathermans is that all the tools are easy to access from the outside without having to open it up. It just makes using it so much easier.
I have several of Leatherman multi tools and the is by far the best one. The access to the interior tools no longer requires unfolding the tool and no digging with your fingernail. When the tool is open and unfolded, the cam locking mechanism is genius.
I ordered this knife for my husband and customized every detail possible. It turned out beautifully, and he absolutely loves it. He uses it every day to fix things for us, and I’d say the return on investment has already paid off within just a month.
The haptics and mechanics of this multi-tool is 10/10. I love the Free-technology, the MagnaCut steel blade, and the scissors. I love not having no to open the pliers to access all of the other tools. It even doubles as a fidget toy lol. Love it.
The Leatherman ARC feels genuinely premium in the hand, with well-designed tools that I find myself using almost every day. I am still getting the hang of the one-handed opening, but with a bit more practice it’s steadily becoming more natural.
I was nervous about this purchase because of the price tag. You won’t regret it. This thing is in my pocket every single day and comes out multiple times a day. If I lost it I would buy another one that night when I got home.
I was gifted a hand-me-down from an older version, and I was happy with it. The new model fixed how the tools are "locked" into position. That is a huge deal to me when I use those tools. Great job, and I highly recommend!
Very pleased with my first new multitool from Leatherman. Super happy I went with the Talos Cerakote color and so far it’s performed flawlessly. Between work and play I look forward to carrying it daily for years to come.
Very nice tool, only thing is. If you get a customer paint job, it will rub off faster then you would like. Besides that absolutely phenomenal tool. I use it all the time in the electrical field. Very fun and very handy.
It’s a great tool & the Cerakote finish on the Talos is nice. The convenience of having access to the tools on the outside is unmatched when you find yourself in a one-handed situation. Go ahead and order it.
Got to say I’m impressed, quality is definitely here! I Was worried if the money is gonna be well spent. Once I got it in my hands I just knew we are gonna be best friends. Thanks guys I appreciate ya all.
To me, this is the best Leatherman yet. . I love the ability to access all of the tools without using your fingernail and they are all on the outside. Love the one hand operation and the free technology!
I was using the Free P2 for the longest time and this is just a straight upgrade to it in every way. The straight blade is especially nice as it’s extremely easy to maintain vs the serrated combo blade.
