The sheath is sold separately. Out of the box you carry the Signal on its pocket clip, or hook the carabiner over a strap or belt loop.
The large bit driver comes with Leatherman's double-ended Phillips #1-2 and 3/16 inch flat bit fitted, covering the most common screw heads on gear and around the house.
Both the regular and hard-wire cutters are replaceable inserts rather than a machined part of the plier head, so years of hard cutting become a maintenance item instead of the end of the tool.

We bought 40 of these for our company and added some custom embellishments that look incredible. This is an excellent multi-tool for the outdoorsy person. Many unexpected and helpful tools like the hammer and flint. The whistle is a pretty unique feature as well. Very pleased with this can't wait to take it out with me this camping season.

On the whole, this tool is great. There are a few things that I would change for personal preferences. There are quite a few sharp edges on the outside of the tool, especially on the sharpener and the Ferro rod. The next thing is that the screwdriver can opener and I think leather punch you can’t have them open and the device closed at the same time because the hammer carabiner catches them. You also cannot open it completely flat so it makes it a little difficult to use those.

Skeletool, Skeletool Cx, Rebar and now the Signal. I have them in different places, different gear. I must say that I think the Signal is my favorite. I have used it while hiking and camping. It fits my needs in multiple ways. I like the lock. The Rebar is good too but I find it 'put away' due to the lack of a clip. . . . I do not want to lose it. Skeletool is used EDC to work. S. CX is on my work closes around the home land. Signal - it could go everywhere. Perfect.

I have been very pleased with my recent Leatherman Signal purchase. As someone who has carried a Leatherman Skeletool for the last few years, I found that the signal has many similarities to what I have been used to carrying everyday. The only negative part about purchasing the Signal was the fact that it did not come with a sheath as I was anticipating. I have the Leatherman Signal I believe it is good for both Urban and Outdoor places. The whistle is great for emergency situations. I do believe the saw should have a hole on top of the saw or a small stud on saw towards the end of the tool where the saw is connected to the hinge. Think about it what if there was a emergency situation to where a person had one hand or arm that they could not use doing something 1 handed can help.

I have had the Signal tool for a few weeks now and by far my favorite. While I won’t be starting too many fires with it, the array of survival tools is perfect. I purchased the ratchet accessory with it and have used that combination many times already. The blade is very sharp and the various tools open easily without ripping my finger nails off. Can’t wait to try out the sharpener when the time comes.

I really like the styling amd feel of the Signal, it has pretty much become my EDC. The ease and readiness of the knife and saw are excellent. The sharpening and fire starter additions are easy to remove and re- mount. As usual all the standard tools are available, minus a file.
