Versatile product. Carry it during a day of photography session, or as an EDC item as a power bank. The button to select the Brightness Mode while switching its White Balance is tricky. so plan some time for that during use. Else it will slow you down during change of lighting situations.

SCL10 - Camera Light / Power Bank
The one pack to rule them all. In the past, having to do any form of shooting in a poorly lit or challenging light area would mean carrying a LED light, battery, charger, etc. Nitecore’s SCL10 solution is elegant and it has seriously battery life for most of our shooting needs. Would be getting more of these lights for the studio so that they can lessen the weight that they are carrying and the mounting bracket is very handy for those who are doing news gathering and wants a straightforward, hotshoe mounted lighting solution. And you can charge your camera at the same time! That is indeed clever! Hope they make a larger version of this too in the future.

Early Experience with SCL10 I received this video light/powerbank on the 30-Nov-2021. It was packed in a sturdy box with a USB-c charging cable and a camera mount. On first impression, the unit seems well made with a solid metallic feel. The buttons are well labeled and responsive. The powerbank function works as it should: fast charge and fast recharged. A bit boring, but in a good way. However, the light works exceptionally well and really impresses me. At 5% brightness level, it illuminates 4 meter or more of my surrounding area and let me navigate comfortably in the dark without waking up my spouse and the whole family. At 100% brightness level, it illuminates the whole bedroom brightly, rivaling my ceiling light. In fact, it may very well be brighter than the ceiling light. The display says it will last more than three hours in this max setting, but I did not have the patience to verify it. The ability to easily adjust the light temperature helps tremendously. I am able to adjust the yellowness of the light to my comfort level and avoid the glare, good for reading. In conclusion, I truly enjoy this light and glad that I have made this purchase, and will not hesitate to recommend this unit to family members and friends.

Versatile and bright Bought this to use as a front fill light for video calls / video conferencing, but it's also seen lots of use as an ambient room light, as well as an outdoor flood. Very useful, and the battery capacity is really huge - have yet to charge it since receiving it a few weeks ago.

A surprisingly competent video light that doubles as a powerbank! More and more of my vacation memories are shot on 4K video rather than digital photos, so the need for a video light came up after I got a gimbal to stablise my primary video camera, which is my mobile phone. After watching MJ demo the light/powerbank, I'm sold! Upon receiving the SCL10, I immediately tested the light during my family trip to Kusu Island. The powerbank is powerful enough to charge my phone once while using the light for shoots. And the light is bright enough to light up the inside of the temple against bright sunlight outside. Of course, the LED and Li-ion battery do get warm on heavy use so the aluminium heat-spreader is useful despite it weighing more. So if weight is not that big an issue, this is the light for you!

Great innovative product! Useful item to bring along on travels with its twin function as power bank and camera/video light. Also handy during blackouts whether at home or abroad. One shortcoming I find is the dimmest light setting (5) is still too bright, in my opinion, as sometimes what is needed is just a small amount of light to complement the surrounding light.
